2023 marks ’50 years of Carolina fun’ and, to celebrate, Carowinds’ culinary team has created a variety of limited-time delicious eats and sips inspired by the past, present, and future of the park. For Carowinds' 50th anniversary, the park’s chefs have been hard at work creating new items for a celebratory menu. From savory menu items and sweet desserts to even sparkling beverages, the celebration is a feast for the food lover.

Savory Selections

New food, available during the ’50 years of Carolina fun’ celebration, that honors the 50th anniversary offers nods to Carowinds’ past and pushes culinary adventures to exciting new places. Newly curated menus are great for snacking and sharing.

Afterburn Poppin’ Peppers – Bacon-wrapped, cheese-stuffed smoked jalapeno peppers. Available June 17 to August 6 at Terminal A.

Carolina Goldrusher Cheeseburger – Two all-beef patties, shaved prime rib, onion rings, pimento cheese, Carolina Gold BBQ sauce served on a potato bun. Available June 17 to August 6 at Juke Box Diner.

Wagon Wheel Wings – House-smoked jumbo chicken wings. Available June 17 to July 9 at Harmony Hall.

Flying Cobra Wings – Smoked pig wings tossed in Carolina Gold BBQ sauce and served with house-made potato chips. Available July 10 to August 6 at Blue Ridge Fixin’s.

Stateline Smokehouse Pizza – Smoked gouda, brisket, pork, and BBQ sauce. Available July 10 to August 6 at Harmony Hall.

“50 Years of Fun” Popcorn – Tri-colored, candy-coated souvenir kettle corn. Available June 17 to August 6 at various snack stands.

50 Years of Carolina FUNnel Cake – Funnel cake topped with birthday sprinkles, golden frosting, crispy golden pearls, and blueberry compote. Available late summer at Funnel Cake Emporium.

Cookie Do-Si-Dough – Extra-large celebratory sugar or chocolate chip cookie. Available June 17 to August 6 at Juke Box Diner, Harmony Hall and Leonardo’s Hometown Italian Food.

Felicidad 50th Tres Leches – Traditional tres leches cake with a strawberry glaze. Available late summer at Burrito Café.

50th Celebration Cake – Slice of celebratory birthday cake, topped with birthday sprinkles. Available June 17 to August 6 at Juke Box Diner, Harmony Hall and Leonardo’s Hometown Italian Food.

Happy Birthday Cupcake – Topped with blueberry compote and birthday sprinkles. Available June 17 to August 6 at Juke Box Diner, Harmony Hall and Leonardo’s Hometown Italian Food.

Takes the Cake Shake – Fully loaded cake batter milkshake served in a souvenir mason jar. Available through August 6 at Shake Central.

White Lightnin’ Elephant Ear – Delectable fried dough topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar. Served with your choice of hot fudge, caramel, or strawberry glaze. Available late summer at Funnel Cake Emporium.

Cheers to 50 years of fun on the state line with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic birthday beverages.

Golden Celebration – St-Germain® elderflower liqueur, peach syrup and sparkling wine garnished with popping boba. Available June 17 to August 6 at the Harmony Hall bar, the Blue Ridge bar and Terminal A.

Golden 50th Orange Cream Cooler – A Carowinds-exclusive Fanta® flavor. Available only at the Coca-Coca Freestyle Machines located in the Coca-Coca Marketplace in the Thrill Zone-area.

Sycamore Celebration IPA – Carowinds and Sycamore Brewing have partnered to create the Sycamore Celebration IPA, brewed exclusively for the park’s 50th anniversary celebration. Available at the Harmony Hall bar, the Blue Ridge bar, Beer & Snacks and Terminal A, while supplies last.
