SCarowinds Visitation Information
SCarowinds Code of Conduct
- Costume masks, face paint, or costume attire are not allowed into SCarowinds. Leave the scary stuff to us. Guests may not enter wearing trench coats or flak jackets. (NOTE: This policy does not apply to masks meant to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other germs.)
- No cameras or photography is permitted inside haunted mazes or scare zones. Violation of this rule is means of dismissal from the park.
- Once you leave SCarowinds, re-entry is not permitted. The no re-entry policy will be enforced during all SCarowinds event hours, including Fridays and starting at 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
- We recommend all guests be 13 years or older due to the nature of the event.
See our complete Code of Conduct for more information. Anyone who violates the Code of Conduct may be subject to park ejection without refund.
SCarowinds Bag Policy
Guests may not bring bags of any kind, including purses, backpacks, or diaper bags, into the park during the SCarowinds event. The bag policy will be enforced during all SCarowinds event hours, including Fridays and starting at 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
NOTE: Guests who require health accommodations may bring a bag no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” containing only medically necessary items into the park. All bags will be searched prior to entry.
Chaperone Policy
The safety of our guests and associates has always been our top priority at Carowinds. In recent past there have been increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior across our industry and at other major entertainment venues.
We are committed to keeping Carowinds a place where families and friends come together to enjoy a one-of-a-kind park full of fun experiences and immersive entertainment.
Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to and remain in the park. The policy will be in effect daily by 4:00 p.m. local time – Carowinds reserves the right to begin enforcing the Chaperone Policy earlier on any given day.
The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.
Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government issued photo identification (Driver's license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park.
Guests aged 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all guests attending Carowinds.
We believe these changes will help ensure that Carowinds continues to have a positive atmosphere where generations of families and friends can gather for a day of safe fun and good food. Millions of guests have counted on us for exactly that, and we will continue to deliver on that promise for generations to come.
