Take a slide down Dorsal Fin Drop for a spinning, splashing adventure. The slide starts by sending riders through a twisting, enclosed tunnel slide. Just as the ride gains speed in the curved tunnel, it blasts riders into a large bowl. Here, guests spin and swirl around, just like a shark circling its prey, giving the ride its name. Riders finally slide into an exhilarating corkscrew exit before ending the ride with a splash in the pool at the bottom. Dorsal Fin Drop sends riders through a total of 263 feet of sliding adventure.

Guests will enjoy this attraction using a single-rider tube. Dorsal Fin Drop is easy to find, as the large slide is blue and orange striped with a large bowl in the middle. It’s also attached to its sister attraction, Surfer’s Swell. Both of these slides were recently added to the waterpark in 2014. This slide complex is located between Blackbeard’s Revenge and Barracuda Blasters in Carolina Harbor Waterpark.
