When You Arrive
Our reopening plan calls for new arrival processes to prepare everyone for a safe and successful day at the park. Here’s what you’ll see and experience when you arrive at Carowinds:
- As soon as you exit your vehicle, go ahead and put on your face covering and keep it on while at the park. A face covering is always required except while dining at a table or bench. Face coverings should completely cover the nose and mouth, and not have exhalation valves or vents, which allows virus particles to escape. All guests age 2 and older are required to wear a face covering.
- Next, you’ll pass through a thermal screening tent where your temperature will be read. If anyone in your party has a temperature of 100.4°F / 38°C or higher, you will be directed to return home and reschedule your visit.
- At the gate, our Carowinds bag policy remains in place.
- At our touchless turnstiles, scan your Season Pass or single day ticket inside the mobile app and let the fun begin!
For everyone’s safety, all associates working in the park must complete a health assessment and temperature check each day before reporting to work as well. We’re all in this together!
Frequently Asked Questions
All guests who are visiting the park are required to have a reservation attached to their Season Pass or a single day ticket purchased for that date prior to arriving at the park. If you arrive at the park without a reservation, please visit Guest Services to inquire about availability. We will accommodate you if possible, but there is no guarantee.
You will see an open tent between the parking lot and front gate. Signs will also direct you to this area.
