Scouting America Scare School

October 5, 2024

Join us for Scouting America Scare School, a fun-filled day of Cub and Troop level activities in the park, including two Halloween-themed opportunities for boys and girls of all ages.

Two Programs Available

  • Scare School - This program includes a tour through one of SCarowinds' haunted houses.
  • No-Boo Scare School - this is a great option for younger troops that prefer not to be scared (includes a look at the family-friend Halloween entertainment offered at the park).

Schedule of Events

  • 9:30 AM -12:00 PM: Check in and patch pick up at the tent across from North Gate Admissions Services (any patches and instructions not picked up by noon will be taken to Guest Services).
  • 12:40 PM: Gather in front of Plaza Stage in your designated groups you are assigned at check in.
  • 12:45 PM: A Scare School leader will take your group to your first station and will lead you through the rotation.
  • 3:00 PM: Scare School ends. Enjoy the rest of the day in the park!

Pricing:

  • $38 per person
  • $6 for Season Passholders (covers the program and patch)*
    • *1 complimentary ticket will be given for every 10 admission tickets purchased. Season passholder tickets do not count toward the comp policy.

All girl scouts, leaders and chaperones must have a valid Girl Scout Day ticket purchased from the link above. Season passholders may purchase the season passholder ticket that is needed to participate. Please note, the season passholder ticket can only be purchased with a valid season pass. This is NOT a ticket for admission to Carowinds. It must be presented upon registration the day of the event but is not valid for admission without a season pass.

This is an online ticket purchase event only  so all payments must be made via the store link. We cannot accept payments via the mail or at the park the day of the event at the ticket window. You can still purchase tickets via the store the day of the event, however.

Please ensure that you are at Plaza Stage no later than 12:40 so you can travel with your group. If you are late, and are doing the full scare tour, report to the Grove and someone will assist you with finding your correct group.

If you If you are part of the No Boo School, your rotation will begin in Blue Ridge Junction with the Skelebration Dance Party. If you miss your groups departure from Plaza Stage, please go to Blue Ridge to catch up with the group.

All day long, guests just show their wristbands where Coca‑Cola® beverages are sold to get their fill of ice‑cold refreshment!

All-Day Dining

With this meal plan your students can get an entrée and a side every 90 minutes, all day long at participating park locations. Upgrade to Premium All-Day Dining and get All-Day Drinks and a snack.

Single Meal Deal 

This is a meal voucher that includes an entrée, side and a drink and is valid at any of our participating in park locations.
