Ticket orders must be pre-paid and received two (2) weeks prior to performance or your date and time will be forfeited. Your performance will be rescheduled upon receipt of ticket order and payment; however, you may not receive your original date/time.
The Festival of Music ticket fee includes participation in the Festival of Music, adjudication by Nationally and Internationally known adjudicators and one single day admission to Carowinds on the date of the ensemble’s performance.
One complimentary admission ticket is issued with every 15 Festival of Music Performer or Observer tickets purchased. Season Pass Holder tickets do not count toward the comp ticket minimum. Complimentary tickets will not be issued for orders received less than 2 weeks prior to your performance date.
If paying by check, please mail your detailed order form with payment, a minimum of 4 weeks in advance, to allow ample USPS delivery time and processing through the lock box.
We highly advise sending your payment via UPS, FED-EX or another reliable tracking method. Checks received without an order form will not be processed and will be returned to the return address on the envelope. No purchase orders are accepted. No checks are accepted at the park or front gate.

If you choose to mail via regular, USPS mail, we strongly encourage you to purchase tracking as this is the only way to know where the check is in the USPS system. Please mail your check & order form to the following address:

Additional tickets may be added to an existing, pre-paid order.
If you have placed your initial ticket order and have last minute additions of students or chaperones you may purchase tickets for the youth sales discount. At the ticket window simply provide your order confirmation number and let the associate know how many tickets you need to add to that order.
Bus parking is FREE & bus drivers receive complimentary admission tickets by showing their valid CDL at the Admission Services Window. Cars and vans must park in the MAIN parking lot and are not able to park with the buses due to the large volume of buses parking daily. Parking is $30 per vehicle. Vans carrying equipment, or a designated school vehicle, may park in the bus parking lot.
- Instrumental warm up is 30 minutes. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled warm up time.
- Choral warm up is 15 minutes. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled warm up time.
- Show Choir/Musical Theatre warm up is 20 minutes. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled warm up time.
The registration fee for 2026 will be $175 per ensemble. However, we are excited to be able to offer an early bird registration fee of $125 for all ensemble registrations that are paid prior to December 31, 2025. Afterwards, the registration fee will increase to $175 per ensemble.
Each ensemble must register for only ONE performance slot. Multiple registrations for the same group will be subject to paying the registration fee for each time slot reserved.
Instrumental groups, please note the following equipment will be available: 36” concert bass drum, 23”, 26”, 29” and 32” timpani, orchestra bells and chimes, xylophone, marimba, vibes, 34” gong, full drum set, keyboard, music stands and chairs.
The quality equipment is provided for your convenience. Please only bring your equipment if not listed above. All bands must provide their own mallets/sticks, snare drums, and cymbals. Carowinds is not responsible for equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged during your visit.
Choral groups, please note that we provide the following: performance risers, which with use of the floor, may accommodate approximately 120 students, acoustical shells and a baby grand piano.
- Band Directors must register upon arrival or no later than 1:00pm, at the Band Registration area located at the entrance to the Carowinds Theatre.
- Choral Directors must register upon arrival or no later than 1:00pm, at the Choral Registration area located at the Aeronautica Theatre entrance.
- At registration you will be required to provide (4) FOUR sets of each score for (3 for the judges and 1 for use by the conductor)
- All selections of music will be adjudicated. CHORAL, PLEASE NOTE - Live accompaniment only – no CD or tracks permitted for performances.
