Does your group need to raise money? Carowinds has a program for you! Our FUNdraising program gives non-profit groups and organizations the chance to work inside the park for a shift, seeing behind-the-scenes of Carowinds. Earn money and have fun at the same time!

What Will We Be Doing?
Greet guests as they enter the park, accept tickets and scan season passes.
Food and Beverage
Prepare and serve food and drinks, handle cash and run the register, cleaning and dishwashing. Positions are inside and outside, in park restaurants and specialty carts.
Encourage and assist guests in playing games of skill, handle cash registers and game cards, use the microphone, and distribute prizes. Positions are in open-air shelters.
Operate our in-park retail locations. Includes cash handling and register use, guest assistance, cleaning, stocking, and straightening merchandise displays, and selling novelty items from our carts. Positions are inside and outside.
Keep park walkways, grounds, and bathrooms clean. Positions are outside.
Play a role as a monster character during our Halloween event. Scare guests in our gruesome mazes and scare zones! Training and costumes will be provided by the park. Only available in September and October.
Prepare and serve buffet-style food and drinks, cleaning and dishwashing. Positions are in our open-air sheltered Catering Pavilion.

How does the program work?
Carowinds is dedicated to helping non-profit groups achieve their goals and raise money for their organization. Interested groups can work in the park on select days. The hourly wages collectively earned by all members is then donated directly to their organization.
What dates are available for fundraisers?
The Carowinds Fundraising Program is currently on hiatus for the 2020 season.
How much is the donation and how is the payment made?
The Group will be rewarded a base rate of $8.00 per hour worked per volunteer.
The group check will be made payable to the name of the Non-profit Organization listed on the W-9 Form. The check will be sent by mail or by direct deposit to the group leader within two weeks of the date volunteered. Please note that Carowinds must have a current W-9 form (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification Form) on file before your check can be sent.
Are there any perks for the volunteers?
Free Complimentary Ticket
Free Park Ticket for Each Volunteer - Each volunteer who completes their shift will be given a free ticket.
Free Meal Card
Each volunteer will receive one free meal coupon per shift, valid for $5 at the employee cafeteria, Coasters Café. Anything over $5.00 is the responsibility of the volunteer.
What are the group member requirements?
All group members must be 16 years of age, and cannot be employed by Carowinds. All group members must show a valid state-issued or school-issued photo ID with proof of age at check-in each time they participate.
What should I wear?
Solid white collared shirt, like a polo or button-up.
Tan or Khaki pants or shorts. Shorts must be knee-length. No jeans!
Closed-toe, comfortable shoes, like sneakers. Sandals, heels, or open-toe shoes are not allowed.
Only hats issued by Carowinds are allowed. Solid blue or black jackets are allowed during inclement weather.
How do I register?
Click on the “Register Now” button to submit a registration interest form. A Carowinds Fundraising Representative will contact you to provide registration forms and schedule preferred date and shift times. Please note that all dates are considered tentative until confirmed with an official Carowinds representative. Carowinds retains the right to cancel or modify shifts if weather or attendance warrants at any time.
My group is coming from far away. Is lodging available?
If your group is coming from 100+ miles away, you may be eligible to stay in our dorm, at no charge to your group. Our dorm rooms hold 4 people each, with bathrooms down the hall and a kitchen available. Space in the dorm is limited and may not be available for all dates.
