The FUN way to earn money for your organization.
Does your group need to raise money? Carowinds has a program for you! The FUNraising program provides non-profit groups and organizations the chance to work a shift at Carowinds. It’s the perfect opportunity to earn money and have fun at the same time.
Available FUNraising Positions
Roles include food and drink preparation, cleaning, and dishwashing. Positions are indoor and outdoor, at restaurants and specialty carts.
Encourage and assist guests in playing games of skill, handle registers and game cards, use the microphone, and distribute prizes. Positions are in open-air shelters.
Operate in-park retail locations. Includes register use, guest assistance, cleaning, stocking, straightening merchandise displays, and selling novelty items from carts. Positions are indoor and outdoor.
Roles include buffet-style food and drink preparation, cleaning, and dishwashing. Positions are located at open-air, sheltered picnic pavilions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Carowinds is dedicated to helping non-profit groups achieve their goals and raise money for their organization. Interested groups can work in the park on select days. Hourly wages collectively earned by all members is then donated directly to their organization.
Please email fundraising@carowinds.com to discuss available shifts. Organizations must register, using the form above, before inquiring about available shifts.
Each group will be rewarded a base rate of $8.00 per hour worked, per volunteer. Additionally, bonuses are available to frequent program participants and large organizations.
The group check will be made payable to the name of the non-profit organization listed on the W-9 form. The check will be sent by mail or by direct deposit to the group leader. Please note, Carowinds must have a current W-9 form (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification Form) on file before your check can be sent.
Each volunteer who completes a shift will be given one free Carowinds ticket, valid for the 2024 operating season.
All group members must be at least 18 years of age and cannot be employed by Carowinds. All group members must show valid government-issued photo identification, with proof of age, at check-in.
Shirt: Solid white collared shirt, such as a polo or button-up.
Pants: Tan or khaki pants or shorts (must be knee-length). Jeans are not permitted.
Shoes: Closed-toe, comfortable shoes, such as sneakers. Sandals, heels, or open-toe shoes are not permitted.
Hats / Coats: Only hat issued by Carowinds are permitted to be worn. Solid blue or black jackets are allowed during inclement weather.
