Committed to Our Community

Due to the postponed park opening, donation requests are temporarily suspended. We will re-open the request form as soon as possible.

Carowinds’ mission is to make people smile. We bring families together for big laughs, thrills, splashes and delights and all the little things that make up happy memories. We are dedicated to supporting families and children in our community to ensure a bright and stable future for the Carolinas, and proudly provide more than $400,000 in donated tickets and goodwill efforts to non-profits and schools each year.

We have strong and valued relationships with the following organizations:

Bolstering the health, welfare and success of families and children is central to our charitable investment program. To focus our efforts and the impact of our support, we give larger donations to several family-focused organizations for a greater overall benefit to the community. This limits our ticket request program, which provides two single-day tickets per organization per year. 

Donations must be requested at least 30 days in advance. Please read the FAQs below prior to applying for a donation.

What does Carowinds donate?

Qualified organizations may receive two single-day tickets per calendar year, valid in the current season only.

Who qualifies for a donation?

Donations are granted to only family-focused federally licensed 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organizations and school fundraising efforts in North and South Carolina.

When can I apply for a donation?

The donation application window opens at the end of January and closes when the supply has been exhausted. Unfortunately, requests outside of this time period are not considered. Once donations are dispensed for the year, the application form will close and you are encouraged to apply in the following year. Donations must be requested at least 30 days in advance.

How do I apply?

Only applications made through the online request form will be considered. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, applications will not accepted by phone, email or postal mail. If you do not see the “Apply for a Donation” button below the application window has closed for the season. It will reopen at the end of January.
