New Year's Eve at WinterFest: Ring in 2024 at Carowinds

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 28, 2023)—Carowinds invites guests to bid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024 at WinterFest, the only New Year's Eve celebration on the state line, on December 31. The event features special fireworks, live entertainment, extended hours, and access to Carowinds' signature rides and attractions.
Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. as WinterFest opens at Carowinds. The New Year's Eve celebration starts at 10:00 p.m.
New Year's Eve Fireworks
At midnight, guests can join a countdown followed by an estimated 15-minute fireworks display. Carowinds will distribute New Year's Eve hats and horns as midnight nears. Prime viewing spots include Blue Ridge Junction, County Fair, and Celebration Plaza.
Live Bands and Entertainment
The celebration features performances by two of the region's most popular bands and family-friendly activities at Camp Snoopy.
The Parks Brothers: This talented duo will perform at Harmony Hall Patio from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
InfiniteSoul: Guests can enjoy vibrant beats from this 11-member band at Plaza Stage from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Charlie Brown's New Year's Eve Celebration: Designed for young children, this event starts at 10:00 p.m. Special New Year's Eve countdowns by the PEANUTS characters will occur at 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. at the Camp Snoopy Fountain.
Festive Food and Sparkling Sips
Visitors can enjoy Carowinds classics and special WinterFest menu items, including "The Gobbler," cinnamon pull-apart bread, and cinnamon roll bacon. The New Year's Fizz, a unique sparkling mojito garnished with mint, will be exclusively available during the celebration.
Rides
Up to 28 rides will be available for guests during the New Year's Eve festivities.
New Year's Eve at WinterFest is included with Carowinds admission. Park hours are 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
