Carowinds Ready to Kick Off 2024 Season This Weekend
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 4, 2024)—Carowinds is thrilled to kick off the 2024 operating season with Opening Weekend on Saturday, March 9. This year, Season Passholders have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to enjoy the park with an exclusive Passholder Day on Friday, March 8.
- Passholder Day: Friday, March 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Guests must present a valid season pass for entry.
- Opening Weekend: Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The safety of guests and associates has always been the top priority at Carowinds. Since 2022, Carowinds has enforced a chaperone policy. Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park after 4:00 p.m. local time to close. As part of Carowinds’ commitment to a safe and family-friendly environment, the park will strictly enforce the chaperone policy effective Opening Day.
Chaperone Policy Highlights:
- Chaperones must show a valid government-issued photo ID with a birthdate at ticket entry.
- A single chaperone can accompany up to 10 guests age 15 or younger.
- Chaperones must enter with their group, remain in the park throughout the visit, and be contactable by phone.
- Unaccompanied guests 15 and under are subject to ejection.
- For age verification, guests 16 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Failure to verify age may lead to entry refusal.
