The Scaredy Cat's Guide to SCarowinds

Sierra Burrell

SCarowinds is one of the most fun times of the year at our park! But what if you want to enjoy the atmosphere of SCarowinds' haunted attractions without being scared? We've got just the guide for you.

No-Boo Necklace

The first thing you need to do is pick up a "No-Boo" necklace from any of our retail locations. This light-up, bat-shaped necklace lets our monsters know that you don't want to be scared. Once they see it, they will avoid jumping out at you or following your group. This necklace is essential if you want to walk around the park without fear of what's lurking in the shadows.

A no boo necklace lets you enjoy our haunted attractions without being scared!

Scare-Free Shows

If you want to enjoy some live entertainment without the scares, we recommend checking out Skeleton Crew and Bone Brigade! Skeleton Crew is a high-energy production that involves a blend of acrobatic and cirque-style performances. The louder the crowd grows, the more daring their stunts become! If we had to sum it up in one word, it'd be suspensful

Bone Brigade is new to SCarowinds this year. Inpsired by traditional New Orleans funeral processions, this show involves a troupe of brass players and lively dancers performing jazz music throughout the park. But this isn't your average music show. If we had to sum it up in one word, we'd label it as bizarre. Check it out for yourself!

Night Rides

Do you avoid jump scares but still enjoy a good adrenaline rush? Then we've got some news for you - we'll be running some our most popular rides during SCarowinds! Experience the thrill of Fury 325, get dizzy on Electro-Spin, and soar on Ripcord. You can view the full list of operating rides here

The Fury will be open at Scarowinds' Halloween Event

Shopping

Waiting on your group to finish a maze? Spend some time in our retail locations! Not only do we have all kinds of unique merchandise (some of which you can see here) but we've also set up some Impressive SCarowinds displays.

Eating

Finally, what is a trip to an amusement park without a food break? Don't miss out on the opportunity to try this SCarowinds-exclusive treat (and many others!) for a limited time.

Eating a Scarowinds' Funnel Cake is one of the best things to do for Halloween!

Whether you're prepared to be scared or plan to beware, we'll make your experience at SCarowinds frightfully unforgettable.
