WinterFest returns this November, as Carowinds magically transforms into a winter wonderland with spectacular holiday experiences to ignite the season’s spirit. The state line will shine bright with over 5 million shimmering lights and a 70-foot tree. Friends and family will enjoy live entertainment and immersive holiday experiences. This year, WinterFest is packed with even more fun than ever before with these new, exciting attractions.

Tinsel Town

Welcome to Tinsel Town, a new themed area at WinterFest! Take a step back in time as the mayor and his jolly wife invite you to experience the magical hustle and bustle of holiday merriment – straight from the 1950s. Grandma’s stories of Christmases past will come alive in this picture-perfect community town square, complete with a retro diner, old-time department store and soothing tunes of the melodious Mistletones.

Jack Frost's Igloo Village

Furnished with comfort and warmth, a Jack Frost Igloo is the perfect spot to take a break and soak in the beauty of WinterFest! Reserve your own igloo and enjoy food and beverage delivery, souvenir mugs, reserved show seating and so much more! But the fun doesn't stop there, Jack Frost has plenty of surprises up his sleeves for his honored guests.

North Pole Excursion

Take a trip to Santa’s stompin’ grounds – way up north! The new North Pole Excursion area of the park is a magical winter wonderland. Climb aboard a horse-drawn carriage and journey through Carolina Harbor, now completely transformed into the North Pole. After your excursion, step into Mrs. Claus' Kitchen to decorate delicious Christmas cookies.

Charlie Brown’s Campfire

Join Charlie Brown and the rest of the PEANUTS gang in Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town every night of WinterFest at 6 p.m. for Christmas campfire songs, toasty treats and special holiday fun!

New Year’s Eve at WinterFest

This year, the holiday fun doesn’t stop when Christmas ends! Carowinds is offering a brand-new way to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a family-friendly alternative, New Year’s Eve at WinterFest! At 10 p.m. on December 31, WinterFest will turn into a fun-filled celebration featuring live bands, games, Charlie Brown’s New Year’s Eve celebration show and, of course, midnight fireworks!
