For campsites, check-in is after 1 p.m. and check-out is by 12 noon. For cabins and Great Wilderness Lodge, check-in is after 4 p.m. and check-out is by 11 a.m.
Guests can check-in and out before or after hours. In order to do so, payment must be made via the night box located at the Trading Post or on the morning following after-hours check-in at the check-in desk.
Pets are allowed on campgrounds but are not permitted in cabins. There are pet waste stations throughout the campground.
Only RV stations with full hookups and cabins are currently available.
We require notice of cancelation at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled date of arrival for a partial refund. Your partial refund will be your deposit minus a $25 cancelation fee. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled date of arrival, the amount of the first night room/site charge plus tax will be forfeited.
Guests can bring their own fire pits, but no ground fires are permitted.
Yes, shuttle service from Camp Wilderness to Carowinds is available for campers.
There is a swimming pool open select days from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is no playground on-site, but our Trading Post does offer fun family activities such as a pool table, shuffleboard, and cornhole game.
Guests may stay at the campground for a maximum of 14 days.
Camp Wilderness encourages the use of credit/debit cards and touchless payment options as cash is not accepted. You may convert cash into a debit card at the kiosk inside the welcome center.
