Carowinds to Hire 2,500 Seasonal Associates for the 2024 Season

Carowinds will host week-long hiring event from Feb. 17 to Feb. 24 to fill various roles with competitive wages, benefits, and park perks.

Charlotte, N.C. (February 13, 2024)—Carowinds, the region's premier amusement park, today announced plans to hire approximately 2,500 seasonal associates for the 2024 operating season, which opens on Mar. 9. In preparation, the park will host a week-long hiring event from Saturday, Feb. 17, to Saturday, Feb. 24, during which Carowinds aims to fill more than 300 of these positions.

Hourly pay ranges from $14 (for candidates aged 16 and older), depending on experience, previous service, and position. Carowinds offers competitive wages and benefits, paid training, and various perks for its associates, such as discounts on food and merchandise, reward and recognition programs, exclusive events, admission for friends and family, and free entry to any Cedar Fair park, including Carowinds.

  • Monday, Feb. 19: All Positions
  • Tuesday, Feb. 20: Food and Beverage and Security
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21: Rides and Aquatics
  • Thursday, Feb. 22: Merchandise and Games
  • Friday, Feb. 23: Admissions and Park Services

Additionally, on Saturday, Feb. 24, Carowinds will host a hiring event for 14-year-olds and 15-year-olds at the Employment Center. Positions available include admissions, aquatics, food and beverage, merchandise and games, and park services.

Carowinds’ hiring blitz is part of a plan by parent company Cedar Fair Entertainment to hire approximately 35,000 seasonal associates across its network of parks in 2024. Cedar Fair anticipates filling the majority of those roles during hiring events to be held across all parks in the U.S. and Canada from Feb. 17-24.
