The primary responsibility is to give the best first impression to our guest as they enter and exit the park. When guests enter the park the Admissions Host has the responsibility of processing tickets and season passes, selling tickets to guests, or taking pictures and redeeming new season passes. Will need to remain familiar with basic park information, special events, concerts, ticket promotions, etc in order to answer guest questions related to the park. Some scenarios, such as selling tickets, require basic math skills.
The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare a wide variety of foods and entrees with diverse methods of preparation. May also need to oversee the quality of preparation and presentation of food items for assigned food location. This positions requires excellent attention to detail including adherence to product sensitivities and plate preparation. This position is responsible for ensuring and overseeing all food items are prepared and presented to Carowinds' standards of excellence.
Primary responsibility is to provide basic medical care services to associates and park guests, as well as providing life support and emergency care services. Different scenarios will occur daily with different individuals, so EMT is also required to provide quality care with empathy. Must have EMT Certification, and be of at least 18 years of age.
Food Service Associate
The primary responsibility of a Food Service Associate is to assist the guests in making food purchases. This includes helping the guest decide what type of food they would like, taking the guest's order, ringing the sale on a cash register, accepting payment from the guest, and giving the guest their food order. Other responsibilities include preparing cooked foods to fill orders; packing food to go; and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment by cleaning the work area and washing dishes as needed.
Lifeguard - Aquatics
Carowinds is currently seeking lifeguards for the new Carolina Harbor waterpark. As a lifeguard, you will be required to enforce ride restrictions and recommendations, ensure the safety of all guests and associates in a diligent manner, and maintain park and location cleanliness. Additionally, you will be required to work in all weather conditions and be on your feet for extended periods of time.

Sales Associate – Games
The primary responsibility of a Sales Associate – Games is to assist the guest in the play of different types of games of skill. This includes explaining the rules of the game to the guest, demonstrating how the game is played, accepting payment from the guest, making change, distributing the items needed to play the game, awarding prizes, and encouraging the guest to play again. Sales Associate – Games is also responsible for housekeeping, stocking prizes, and safety in their assigned location.
Sales Associate – Merchandise
The primary responsibility of a Sales Associate – Merchandise is to assist guests in making purchases. This includes helping the guests select and locate items; ringing the guest's sale on a cash register; accepting payment from the guests; making change; and wrapping and bagging of the guests' purchase. A Sales Associate – Merchandise is also responsible for maintaining appropriate stock levels, housekeeping and safety in their assigned location.
Park Services Attendant
This position is responsible for maintaining the day to day cleanliness of Carowinds. Also requires in engaging in pleasant conversation with guests in assigned areas.
The primary responsibility of a Ride Attendant is to assist each guest in safely riding each ride. This includes greeting the guest at the entry of a ride; explaining the limitations and restrictions to the guest; seating the guest in the ride; securing safety restraints; and operating the ride. A Ride Attendant is also responsible for cleaning their assigned ride. You must be at least 16 years of age.
The park maintains its own staff of security associates who patrol all areas of the park including employee-only backstage areas. Associates will engage with guests in a variety of capacities in varied situations each day – all while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor. Basic data entry is required while creating reports and updating security related computer programs. All associates undergo security training and the position require standing for extended periods of time. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
Security Access Associate
Individuals are required to monitor access into the park and to prevent prohibited items from entering the park via metal detectors. All associates undergo training and the position requires standing for extended periods of time. This position does not require any previous security work experience.
Provides customer service using a point-of-sale system and Issues wardrobe items to park associates. Provides general information and assistance to Associates on a daily basis.
Assists in the maintenance of automotive equipment and machinery. Performs related technical duties as required.
Pool Water Quality Tech
Assist with plumbing maintenance. Responsible for pool cleanliness, water quality in Waterpark and the Campground pool. You must be at least 18 years of age.
