Carowinds Cares: Helping Local Schools Mask Up

Giving back to the community is close to our hearts at Carowinds, especially during a time of such great need. Carowinds Cares is an initiative that gives our associates the chance to get out and give back to the Carolinas community where we all live and work.
Recently, Carowinds had a supply of masks on hand for a possible park opening. When plans changed to delay opening to 2021, we decided to donate them. Our team saw a need in our local school districts who are welcoming their students back to school.
“Carowinds has always valued our partnership with schools through our Youth Programs and community outreach. We wanted to still be a part of that whether school is physically in session or not,” said Marc Gran, Carowinds Director of Sales.

The park partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Fort Mill Schools and Rock Hill Schools to donate 4,000 masks for use by Teachers, Staff, Students and their entire school communities. We all share such gratitude for the professionals educating our community's students during such a challenging time. We're all in this together!
