Make the Final Days of Summer Amazing

Scott Gerbereux

Digital Marketing Manager

It’s hard to believe that we’re already past the halfway point of the summer season. Before school starts again, get outside and savor the last of the long summer days. If you’re looking for fun things to do in Charlotte with your family and friends, Carowinds is the place for you! And our Dollar Days deals available Labor Day weekend will let you live large without breaking the bank. Get food, games and merch for only a buck each!

Here’s a list of some of the top ways to squeeze every bit of fun out of the dog days of summer.

Record a milestone

Knock that thrill-seeking challenge off your summer bucket list. Whether your little one is now tall enough to ride “the big ones” or you’ve finally mustered the courage for Slingshot or Fury 325, now is your opportunity to make the memory. Don’t forget to download the FunPix photo for proof if anyone doubts your bravery.

PRO TIP: We now offer height measurement stations at the front of the park so you’ll know exactly what your child can and can’t ride before getting in line. As you enter through the North Gate, stop by Traditions to have your child measured and get a height wristband.

National Roller Coaster Day is recognized each year on August 16, and there’s no better way to celebrate than soaring through the sky on two of the tallest steel roller coasters in North America, Intimidator and Fury 325! With a total of 14 roller coasters, we deliver one of the best coaster collections in the world.

PRO TIP: Take your group on Rip Roarin’ Rapids, a white water rafting expedition down a rugged river course in a 6-person raft. Each drenching ride is a unique, fun way to cool off on summer days.
