THE BEST TIME TO VISIT

When planning a trip to Carowinds, try to choose a date that falls outside the Park's busiest times. Lines are usually shorter on Sundays versus Saturdays. Weekdays are even better! |

Hours and operating days vary, so before planning a visit, it's a good idea to call Carowinds Information Center at: 704-588-2600 in North Carolina; 803-548-5300 in South Carolina; or toll-free 800-888-4386. The Information Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and during park operating hours. |

BE COMFORTABLE

Spending a day at a 112-acre theme park means you're going to cover a lot of ground. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring along appropriate clothing to keep you warm/cool as temperatures fluctuate throughout the day Lockers may be rented for $12 with $5 refund when the key is turned in. Oversized Lockers are available in the Water Park for $15 with a $5 refund the key is returned.

If you're planning to visit Boomerang Bay water park, make sure you bring a bathing suit and dry clothes for later. Bathing suits cannot have metal buttons, clasps or eyelets. Changing rooms are available in Boomerang Bay. |

PACK LIGHTLY

It's best to limit the number of items you take into the Park. Park ride operators/rides cannot accommodate strollers, cameras, camcorders, purses, sunglasses or bulky items. You are encouraged to leave these with a non-riding friend, or bring along a "fanny pack." |

REMEMBER WHERE YOU PARK

There are 5,000 parking spaces in the Carowinds lot. Once you park, take note of the row number on the fence at the edge of the lot. This will help you find your car at the end of the day. If you have trouble locating your car, Security can provide assistance. |

MAKE A PLAN

Don't start your day at the Park without a Fun Guide Map - then set out to tackle every ride, game, show and shop in the Park! Fun Guides are available free of charge at Guest Services near the Park entrance. |

GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

A free guide is available at Guest Services for guests with disabilities. This guide is designed to help those with disabilities make the most of their visit and provide information on ride safety, group and individual discounts and parking options. |

BABY CARE CENTER

Guests with infants or young children should take advantage of the Baby Care Center in Nickelodeon Central. Nursing mothers or tired fathers will find a comfortable rocking chair, a microwave and a diaper changing station. |

KNOW THE RIDE RESTRICTIONS

Some rides are restricted by height or physical limitations. To avoid disappointment, refer to the Disibilities Guide or height requirements listed on the park map, and check all signs posted at ride entrances to verify who can ride what...before standing in line. |

PET OWNERS

Guests travelling with pets may take advantage of the Carowinds kennel available at the North Gate entrance. There is a $10.00 per animal charge for the kennel service. Water is provided. Guests are asked to provide food and exercise. Overnight pet stays are not permitted. Only service animals for the visually impaired are allowed in the park. Pets are not allowed inside Carowinds. Please do not leave pets in your car. |
