KIDS
The following tips are designed to ensure that guests with hand held infants and young children have a comfortable visit to Carowinds. For more information or to enroll in any of the services listed below, visit Guest Relations at either Park entrance.
Baby Food & Bottles
Baby food and bottles are not available at the park. Guests are permitted to bring these items into Carowinds. These food items must be kept inside of a cooler and checked in at the Guest Relations Office before you are permitted to take the food inside. Bottles may be warmed at any dine-in restaurant in the park. Milk and canned juice is available at a variety of food stands throughout Carowinds. Free ice water is available at any food location.
Changing Areas
Our in-park Baby Care Center offers a quiet facility in Planet Snoopy where parents can feed and change their infants. There are also several diaper change facilities located in restrooms throughout the park.
First Aid
First Aid is located in the Carolina Boardwalk across from the Carolina Cobra and is open during regular park hours.
Kid Track
Kid Track assists in reuniting lost children with their parents or guardians in case they become separated. An identification band with a security code is placed on the child to quickly reunite a lost child with their parent or guardian. See Guest Services on the day of your visit for more information.
Kids Meals
Special Kids Meals are available in Wings, Joe Cool's Cafe' and Country Kitchen.
Lost Children
An associate will escort any lost child to security personnel until you are re-united.
Official Height Measurement
To avoid being measured at each attraction, children may be officially measured at Guest Relations to receive a wristband corresponding to their height in shoes. Carowinds reserves the right to ask that shoes be removed to ensure that a child's height is not being artificially enhanced or manipulated.
Rider Swap
Rider Swap is available for those who have small children but no provision for childcare while participating in height-restricted rides. One person may wait with the child in the designated area on the exit side of the platform or station, while the other guests in the party enter the line. When the rest of the party has exited, the person who waited with the child may enter through the exit and ride. Visit Guest Services for more information on our Rider Swap program on the day of your visit.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted at Carowinds, except in clearly designated smoking areas throughout the Park, designated by red benches.
Strollers & Wagons
You may bring your own stroller and wagon to the park. If you do not have a stroller, they are available for rent. See the trip tips section for pricing.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen is available at gift shops throughout Carowinds and in Boomerang Bay. Hats and sunglasses can also be purchased at several gift shops.
